Stakeholder Engagement

Baulderstone takes the impact of construction work on affected local communities very seriously. We develop community and stakeholder relations programs as an integrated part of our projects.

Case study: CLEM7

The $3 billion CLEM7, Brisbane's first major road tunnel, opened in March 2010.

A consultative approach to community relations was implemented as part of the project management of the CLEM7, including a one-on-one consultation program, a site-based Visitors' Centre, regularly updated project website, information sessions, Community Liaison Groups, an educational program for road users, and a 24/7 contact number.

The CLEM7 captured the imagination of Queensland residents, who joined tunnel tours in December 2009 to gain a preview of the near-finished project. On opening, 50,000 residents participated in the CLEM7 fun run.
