4 June 2008

Baulderstone Hornibrook has won two awards in the prestigious 2008 National Innovation and Excellence Awards presented by the Property Council of Australia at a gala event in Melbourne on Saturday, 24 May 2008. City Central Tower 1 in South Australia has won the National Innovation & Excellence Award for Office Developments, having already won the state award for South Australian Development of the Year. The 21-storey City Central Tower 1 was the first building to be completed in the $750 million multi-tower precinct being developed in the heart of Adelaide's CBD. It is the largest commercially designed 5 Star Green Star building in Australia. Centre Court in New South Wales has won the National Innovation & Excellence Award for Business Parks. Centre Court is the new headquarters for Optus and is the largest single tenant campus-style workplace in the Southern Hemisphere. It consists of six office buildings linked together with four core blocks and access bridges, built above two large basement car park levels. The development incorporates a number of Ecologically Sustainable Development initiatives and will provide an international benchmark in commercial campus design. The project was finished on budget and an impressive six months ahead of schedule. Please contact Chris Reynolds for further information. (02) 9935 7100.
