Budding musicians were offered new and exciting opportunities when the $9 million Methodist Ladies College music building was completed in 1995.
The 390-seat auditorium and rehearsal hall was designed to cater for over 2,000 students and provide the schools musical virtuosos with five special percussion rooms and 40 soundproof tuition rooms.

The 390-seat auditorium and rehearsal hall was designed to cater for over 2,000 students and provide the school’s musical virtuosos with five special percussion rooms and 40 soundproof tuition rooms.

The building’s unique features allowed for reduced sound transmission, with acoustic fins fitted to its interior and 80 magnetically sealed doors. Other special features included fully retractable auditorium stages, height adjustable reflector ceilings and extensive ceiling storage.
