Innovative ideas and cost-effective construction won Baulderstone the $9.4 million contract to build the striking Moorabbin Industry Training Centre.
Design of the complex combined industry approved training facilities with exhibition space and a convention centre to provide food production manufacturing, electronics and business training.
The three-storey structure covered 7,400m2 and included a 200-seat auditorium and 94-seat theatrette.
Other features also included classrooms, laboratories, a cafeteria, commercial kitchen, restaurant and administration offices.
A resilient PVF2 metallic finish on the insulated wall panels lends a striking hi-tech appearance to the complex. Baulderstone was awarded further project works, which included a 50 room residential complex linked to the main building to enhance the convention and seminar facilities.
