Baulderstone has undertaken the contract for the Design and Construction of a new office development on Burwood Road in Hawthorn, approximately 6km from Melbourne’s central business district. The building provides new, modern office accommodation and associated services within a thriving business and community setting on a main arterial road.
The project included the excavation and construction of five levels of basement carparking, which also incorporates associated services zones. The spacious ground floor design includes external colonnades, a large foyer area and a cafe. The actual office building incorporates four levels of modern office accommodation with associated services cores and external terrace areas. Construction of the rooftop includes the necessary plantrooms and associated works.
Since being nominated as preferred builder on this project in 2006, Baulderstone have worked closely with the client, project manager and consultants to develop a design solution that meets the projects cost and quality expectations. This collaborative approach has continued throughout the project as the team worked together to complete the project on time and budget to the expected quality outcomes.
