Due to the large floor plate the building is divided into three fire zones by four hour fire walls constructed of fire checked and heavy duty structural studs. These walls incorporate a series of fire and smoke shutters which provide clear access from each zone. Below the floor a cable tray grid system provides voice, data and power services to each workstation. The use of combined floor boxes and a cable management system attached to each workstation provides total flexibility for future workstation location eliminating the need for power poles.
The successful completion of this project demonstrates Baulderstone’s ability to deliver high quality, complex projects within budget, to a tight time frame. This was achieved through a close and effective working relationship between the client, consultants and contractor. The client’s satisfaction with the project and the process was further demonstrated by the negotiation of additional stages using all previous consultants, contractors and sub contractors.
